The role will see the Apprentice learn all areas of the business and support the Practice Manager.
Initially the key day-to-day duties will involve the following:
• Face to face interaction with patients on the front desk, dealing with a variety of queries
• Telephone communication with patients/nurses/GP’s dealing with queries and requests
• Responding to email correspondence
• Processing patient details onto the system
• Scheduling and re booking routine and urgent appointments for patients where required
• Recording patients identification where required
• Booking emergency ambulances as requested by GP’s /nurses
• Processing paperwork at the request of the Practice Manager
• Any other ad hoc duties
This is an ever-expanding role and will see the duties change and develop over time.
You will have the ability to communicate confidently at all levels including GP’s, nurses, and at times challenging patients. The ideal candidate will be resilient, confident, work on own initiative, problem solver and have an eye for detail with the willingness to learn and progress. Compliancy in line with the confidentiality policy is key for this role.
Thorough in house training will be provided along with the Apprenticeship training with Starting Off.
Hours: 37.5 per week, varied shifts between 8am - 6pm
Salary: £175 - £250 per week dependent on age and experience
